JFA presents:
A Celebration Of The Nation’s Newest
Fedreral Holiday –
Juneteenth!

Part one features a conversation with Texas Judge, Maria T. Jackson, who shares her perspective on Juneteenth as a Texan jurist. She currently sits as a visiting judge, after serving three terms as a municipal judge, and as the longest-serving felony court judge in Harris County (Houston) before retiring in 2019.

Part two is a rousing selection, appropriately entitled – Long Walk To Freedom (italics), performed by the IMPACT Repertory Theatre. The IMPACT Repertory Theatre Performance Company is a safe space where young people use current events and their own personal experiences as material to creatively explore and express the issues facing young people in America today. The Repertory Company performs in front of more than 25,000 people each year at impactful venues including the United Nations Headquarters, New York City’s City Hall, Hospitals, Public Schools, prisons and penitentiaries.
